Pine Forest is a very pet-friendly neighborhood. More than that, our pets our often our ambassadors – they help us make friends with our neighbors by breaking the ice when we meet on the street. With that in mind, here’s a rogues gallery!
This is Cooper. His humans are Peter and Knute and he lives on Saddleback. He seems to get along with most dogs.
Meet Hendrix. His humans are Heather and Michel and he lives on Granite Dr with his cousin Santana. Hendrix is now 13 but this picture was taken when he was 8 and enjoying life in Paris, that particular day by jumping in the Seine.
This is Santana. Santana loves the snow and would much prefer to sit outside in the cold for hours than come inside, all in the hope of playing ball or frisbee. His humans are Heather and Michel and he lives on Granite Dr. with his cousin Hendrix. He is 4.
I'm Wilson! I'm a 10-ish year old Shepherd mix, adopted from the Truckee Humane Society by my humans Ryan and Katie in 2015 after being found on the streets of Nevada City. You'll see me around the block, usually "woofing" my greetings with a ball or frisbee in my mouth. I live on Parkland Drive, and you can often find me outside retrieving my ball or in general being a grumpy old man š
Luca is a female Husky and German Shepherd mix. She is 9 1/2 years old. Her parents are Laura and Evan on Granite Drive. They have had Luca since she was just 8 weeks old. When she isnāt out doing long hikes in the Sierra or adventuring in the snowy backcountry, Luca loves to lay in the front yard and watch the world go by. Be warned, she is a face-kisser!
My name is Milo (aka Mee-lo Milo, Boobooness, Sugar Plum, best dog ever, worst farts ever!!!) I love my Mom, Jaqui, and all the men who carry treats in the hood. I live in the log cabin at the top of Saddleback where I lounge and wait for winter to come back. I'm 3 y.o. going on 'old man' lol.
Stella is a golden retriever who lives on Parkland Drive with Paul, Jenny, Dahlia and Piper. She LOVES swimming, playing in the snow, cuddles and tennis balls. She will be four years old on September 10, '24 and still thinks she is a puppy!
My name is Shelby. I am a very sweet golden girl who loves all the humans I meet. I can be shy around other dogs until I get to know them but my tail is always wagging. I get to walk the neighborhood all the time with my people, Mike and Gina, and am always happy to stop and say hello to friends and neighbors. Oh, and you can tell by this photo that I am very spoiled!
Hi, Iām Hank! Iām almost two and have a lot of energy. I live on Saddleback with my parents Chris and Mollie and my brother Koba. I love to say hi to everyone, carry sticks and to wrestle.
Hi, Iām Koba. Iām seven and love living in Truckee. I live on Saddleback with my parents Chris and Mollie and my little brother Hank. Iām big and look scary but Iām friendly and a little timid. Sometimes I wear a little bootā¦Iāve got a sensitive paw
Shep gets 2 pictures in the gallery because who can resist a PUPPY! [Editor's note: Shep is no longer a puppy]
This is Shep. However Shep has a list of names we have confused him with over his 7 years of life starting with Sheppy, Sir Sheperton, The ShayShay, boo-boo head, Little Peanut head and lastly one most of our neighbors are aware of āOld Man Shepā as Shep looks like a puppy but is a bit of a grouch with other dogs and male humans. Mostly Shep is mouthy at larger male dogs as he is just jealous of their size. A bit of a napoleon over here but he is not to be mistaken as he is very loving and quite the cuddler. Please always say hello to us.
Hi, Iām Willow. Iām a 6 year old high energy Lab. I get along with other dogs but I really love people. So if you see me running towards you, donāt be afraid. I live on Saddleback Dr with Jonathan and Debbie. I canāt wait to meet you on my walks.
Hi! Itās Indiana Bones (Indy.) He is a foster fail from HSTT in 2020. Heās super friendly and you may have seen him biking with Tim around PF when weāre up.
Hi! Iām Kyanjin. I love sticks, snow and water
